Mountain High School believes in parental involvement. Research shows that next to a student’s desire and a great teacher, effective parental involvement is the determining factor in a student’s success. There are many ways parents/guardians can effectively be involved in their student’s education. Conversations at home about school, expressing interest in what is being learned at school, attending Parent Teacher Conferences, attending MHS parent nights, and volunteering are just some of the ways MHS parents are involved.
Serving on the Mountain High School Teacher Student Success Plan (TSSP) Committee is a wonderful way for parents and teachers to contribute and help improve academic performance at Mountain High. The school receives an annual dividend from the school trust lands. The MHS TSSP committee approves how these funds will be used.
This year Mountain High School will receive approximately $37,000 from the School LAND Trust Program.
MHS Parents/Guardians serving on the committee represent the parents and students of Mountain High and participate in the development of the school plan for improving the school, make decisions on how to best expend School LAND Trust Program funding, and increase public awareness of school trust lands and related policies.
All plans are reviewed for final approval by the Davis School District School Board.
Watch for information on MHS TSSP Committee openings to be posted here in September of 2025. New members of the committee will begin service in November of 2025. Additionally, there may be occasional vacancies during the year that are filled by appointment.
